Our Facilities
Double Storey Classroom Block
Our modern double storey classroom block accommodates more students, reducing congestion and improving learning conditions. It houses learners who previously lacked permanent classroom space and reflects the school’s commitment to expanding capacity and improving infrastructure.
Solar System
Mpopoma High School uses a solar power system to ensure uninterrupted learning during power outages. It powers essential blocks such as the administration offices, Form One classrooms, and the computer lab, promoting green energy and reducing reliance on the grid.
Generator Backup
Our generator serves as a vital backup during load shedding, supplying power to the entire school except the solar-powered blocks. It ensures continued operation of learning activities and office work, minimizing disruptions caused by frequent power interruptions.
Water Storage Tanks
Jojo water tanks provide a reliable and sustainable water supply during council water shortages. These storage tanks promote hygiene, ensure toilets and other facilities remain functional, and help conserve water by storing it for use during dry periods.
Ramps
Mpopoma High School is inclusive of learners with physical disabilities. We have built ramps across various blocks to ensure safe, easy movement for wheelchair users, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility and equal opportunity for every learner.
Security Officer
Our dedicated security officer monitors school entrances and premises to ensure the safety of students, staff, and property. They play a key role in enforcing school policies, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to emergencies promptly and professionally.
Fire Extinguishers
Strategically placed throughout the school, our fire extinguishers are part of our disaster risk management plan. Regularly inspected and maintained, they equip staff to handle fire emergencies swiftly, ensuring the safety of everyone on the school premises.
Fire Assembly Point
In case of emergencies, Mpopoma High School has a clearly marked fire assembly point. It provides a safe area for students and staff to gather during evacuations, allowing for swift headcounts and organized responses to fire or disaster situations.
